The first Don’t Look Up trailer is here. On Wednesday, Netflix unveiled the first look of its star-studded sci-fi black comedy Don’t Look Up, directed by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence who are surrounded by Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Ron Perlman, Timothy Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Himesh Patel, Matthew Perry and Chris Evans. In Don’t Look Up, an astronomy professor (DiCaprio) and his graduate student (Lawrence) attempt to warn the world of an approaching comet that will destroy Earth – but as you can see from the tape – Don’t Look Up announcement, the US government isn’t really bothered.

DiCaprio has a panic attack at the start of the first Do not seek trailer, while elsewhere Lawrence is shocked by what she sees on a screen. As the title cards in between set the credentials for Don’t Look Up writer-director Adam McKay – he is the originator of the Oscar-winning financial crisis comedy-drama The Big Short, from the Dick Cheney Vice biopic. and comedy films Step Brothers and Anchorman – we get glimpses of their science assistant Morgan, a long-haired Chalamet (environmentalist?), news anchors Blanchett and Perry, and utter chaos in the streets as citizens protest. Finally, we find DiCaprio, Lawrence and Morgan in the White House.

“Your breathing is stressing me out,” Hill’s character says to the trio, who play Streep’s chief of staff and US President’s son. In response, DiCaprio tries to warn, “It will affect the entire planet,” only for Hill to retort with a chuckle, “I know, but it’s so stressful.” The Don’t Look Up trailer gives us a glimpse into the characters of Grande and Rylance, before we end up at a restaurant where DiCaprio asks for more ice water, while Lawrence opts for “two more glasses of white wine.” And I don’t need the face of a judge. The Don’t Look Up trailer then shows us the suggested solution, which is to detonate the comet with missiles, I guess.

“There is a comet heading straight for Earth,” Lawrence said at the White House meeting, only for President Streep to retaliate: “You know how many ‘the world is ending’ meetings we have. have had in the past two years? ” Hill intervenes: “Drought, famine, hole in the ozone layer. It’s so annoying. ”Lawrence rolls his eyes and looks away, while DiCaprio sits there, stunned by the response he receives from the people who are supposed to be responsible for protecting them. That’s where the story ends. Don’t Look Up One Minute Trailer, we’ll get more of that with the full trailer closer to release.

Here’s the official synopsis for Don’t Look Out, Netflix:

Astronomy student Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence) and her professor Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) make the astonishing discovery of a comet orbiting the solar system. The problem – it’s on a direct collision course with Earth. The other problem? Nobody really seems to care. It turns out that warning humanity of a planet killer the size of Mount Everest is an inconvenient fact to navigate. With the help of Dr Oglethorpe (Rob Morgan), Kate and Randall embark on a media tour that takes them from the office of indifferent President Orlean (Meryl Streep) and her sycophantic son and chief of staff Jason (Jonah Hill ), on The Daily Rip, a morning show hosted by Brie (Cate Blanchett) and Jack (Tyler Perry). Just six months away from the comet’s impact, managing the 24-hour news cycle and grabbing the attention of the social media-obsessed audience before it’s too late is proving incredibly comical – what will it take? to make the world look up? !

Don’t Look Up will be released on December 24 on Netflix worldwide. It’s set to hit theaters in select cities on December 10 – India won’t be on the cards.
