KSI is “really into crypto”
Famous rapper and popular YouTuber KSI spoke about bitcoin and cryptocurrency in an interview with GQ magazine published on Friday.
KSI, real name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, is also known as JJ. He was ranked second by The Sunday Times in its list of the top 100 UK influencers in 2019. He is also part of the UK Youtube group known as Sidemen.
Responding to a question about the first thing he would do if he were Prime Minister, KSI said:
I would give everyone for £ 100 worth of bitcoin – as a bitcoin stimulus package for everyone. I am really into crypto. I think Bitcoin is the future.
“It’s going to be long term for sure, but in ten years the people who have invested will be laughing,” he added.
KSI then compared bitcoin to fiat money. “Just look at how inflationary money is compared to bitcoin, which isn’t. There is a fixed amount – you cannot increase the amount of bitcoin and that has value, ”he pointed out, adding:
I feel like a lot of people don’t really see this. They try to get some quick money like, “Oh, I want to go in and out”. It’s a long haul thing and I’m here for the trip.
Last month he share the story of how he made millions of pounds investing in cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, and “lost everything” when the crypto market “collapsed”. Nonetheless, he still believes that “you’ll end up getting $ 100,000 bitcoin, $ 500,000 bitcoin, and $ 1 million bitcoin.” It will happen.
