Two former overall picks face off in Cincinnati tonight for Thursday Night Football. Joe Burrow was LSU’s first pick in 2020 and is entering his second season for the surprising Bengals 2-1. The Jaguars caught Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence with the first pick earlier this year. Both quarterbacks have won national championships in college and are tasked with overthrowing dying NFL franchises. The Bengals haven’t won a playoff game in 30 years, while the Jags have only enjoyed one winning season in the past 13 years and are still looking for their first win this year.
Kick-off is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET (5:20 p.m. PT) on the NFL Network. Here’s how to watch Thursday’s game, plus the rest of the NFL season, without cable.
How to stream NFL games
Major streaming providers like YouTube TV, Hulu Plus Live TV, FuboTV, and DirecTV Stream offer almost all of the major channels you’ll need for football. This includes CBS, NBC, and Fox, as well as ESPN, which is needed for Monday Night Football.
Sling TV offers NBC and Fox in some markets with its Blue package, but it lacks CBS. It’s also worth noting that in order to get ESPN you will either need to upgrade to its Orange package or go for its Blue and Orange package.
Those who like to watch on phones or tablets, on the other hand, can also use the Yahoo Sports app to stream games broadcast to your local stations for free.
What about RedZone and the NFL Network?
All of these above services except DirecTV Stream offer the ability to get RedZone and the NFL Network. RedZone will typically require you to spend an additional $ 10 or $ 11 per month as an add-on.
If RedZone is all you want, the cheapest option is to get Sling TV Blue for $ 35 per month and add the Sports Extra add-on for $ 11 per month. This gives you access to all football channels except ESPN and CBS.
What about Thursday night football?
Most Thursday night football games will air on Fox, NFL Network, and Amazon Prime Video. Thursday night football games in September will air only on the NFL Network, with coverage from Fox and Prime Video starting in October.

What about Paramount Plus?
Paramount Plus offers live CBS streams with its Premium tier for $ 10 per month. However, depending on where you live, your local CBS station (and those NFL games) may not be available. CBS offers live streaming services in many markets; you can check for yourself if your area has CBS live streaming here.
And the peacock?
All of NBC’s regular season NFL games will be available to stream on its Peacock streaming service, as long as you pay for one of its Premium memberships.
There are two of these tiers, a $ 5 per month Premium option that contains ads (when watching non-live content) and a $ 10 per month Premium Plus option that will stream non-live content without ads (and will allow you to download content on watch offline).
Sling TV’s $ 35 per month Blue package includes NBC, Fox, and the NFL Network. Enter your address here to see which local channels are available where you live.
Note: This version of Sling TV does not include ESPN. For that, you will need to upgrade to the Orange package at the similar price or go for the combined Orange and Blue package of $ 50 per month. RedZone is also available for an additional $ 11 per month.
Peacock will show the full list of NBC Sunday night football games. You will, however, need one of the service’s premium packages to watch Sunday Night Football live and full match replays, although the highlights are available on the free tier.
The ad-supported Premium plan costs $ 5 per month and the Premium Plus ad-free plan costs $ 10 per month.
Those looking for CBS games will be able to stream them on Paramount Plus with its Premium tier of $ 10 per month. You can check for yourself if your area has live CBS streaming here.
All of the above live TV streaming services offer free trials (with the exception of Peacock, which just has a free tier that doesn’t stream NFL games live), allow you to cancel at any time and require a strong internet connection. Looking for more information? Check out our.
