Such a manly, macho, masculine man, this Joe Scarborough!
Thursdays Morning JoeScarborough poked fun at the masculinity of Republicans, while inferring braggingly of his own machismo.
Scarborough’s first target was someone he called out “the guy with the little neck”, pretending to ignore his name. Willie Geist provided it: Josh Hawley. The reason Scarborough was attacking the Republican senator from Missouri was because he accused the left of redefining traditional masculinity as “toxic.”
This led Scarborough to boast: “Real men don’t even notice that there is a war on masculinity.”
Scarborough apparently falls into this “real man” category. Impressive!
The manly fake man then decided to take a childish photo of Hawley raising his first one in the air:
SCARBOROUGH: But tthese guys, these guys, can I say that here? Can I say that? – These guys who put on their masculinity – [laughs uproariously as photo of Hawley with raised fist appears] oh: look at it! Oh my God! Hey, hey, hey!
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Okay, Joe, watch out.
He then turned to Mark Meadows, who has been described as writing ‘fake news’ in his new book where he claimed former President Trump tested positive for Covid before his first debate with the US candidate. time, Joe Biden.
That, in turn, led a smirking Scarborough to do a cutesy little limbo with words: “These guys put their masculinity in a safe deposit box for Donald Trump. There is another part of the body: I would like to use it. Rush Limbaugh used it. I won’t be using it here in the morning. “
A moment later, Scarborough muttered: “testicles”.
You know, Joe, instead of mumbling it, “real men” aren’t afraid to say what they’re thinking clearly.
And it’s interesting that Scarborough modeled Rush Limbaugh: the man the liberal media loved to hate!
Note: After referring to male anatomy, Scarborough turned to Jonathan Lemire, saying “you wanted to add something”. Lemire replied: “Nothing about it!” Could tell Lemire wouldn’t touch Scarborough’s remark with a ten foot post.
Here is the transcript.
MSNBC Morning Joe
December 2, 2021
6:10 a.m. ET
WILLIE GEIST: You wonder, Jonathan Lemire, what it takes to be a man to be on TV, to have written the words in the book, and to be so terrified, that not only did Mark Meadows go on and call his own fake news book, or reporting fake news, he retweeted Donald Trump calling his story fake news. Writes the book, gets threatened by Donald Trump.
JOE SCARBOROUGH: [laughing hysterically] Seriously, come on! You talk about – we talked about this last week: what is the guy with the small neck? What is his name?
GEIST: Oh, Josh Hawley?
SCARBOROUGH: Josh Hawley. He’s got this war on masculinity, or whatever.
GEIST: Very worried about this.
SCARBOROUGH: He’s very worried about it.
ELISE JORDAN: He feels it, he feels it personally.
SCARBOROUGH: I said, real men don’t even notice that there is a war on masculinity.
Butthese guys, these guys, can I say that here? Can I say that? – These guys who put on their masculinity – [laughs uproariously as photo of Hawley with raised fist appears] oh: look at it! Oh my God! Hey, hey, hey!
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Okay, Joe: watch out.
SCARBOROUGH: These guys who put their masculinity in a safe deposit box for Donald Trump.
SCARBOROUGH: There, there, there is another part of the body, I would like to use it. Rush Limbaugh used it. I won’t be using it here in the morning.
GEIST: Something about blind trust, right?
SCARBOROUGH: Yeah, yeah, yeah: exactly. Exactly. [Mutters] testicles, in a safe.
Anyway, Jonathan Lemire, you wanted to add something.
JONATHAN LEMIRE: Nothing about it! But certainly an unusual book promotion strategy from Mark Meadows, to deny everything you’ve written.
SCARBOROUGH: Everything I wrote is wrong!
